AUGUSTA, Ga. (WFXG) - It's official: Scottie Scheffler is your 2024 Masters Tournament Champion!  He made it through Amen Corner Sunday with a bogey on 11, a par on 12 and a birdie on 13.

It wasn’t exactly a one man show down the stretch. Some “oh my” moments for Sweden’s Ludwig  Åberg - a birdie on 14 kept him within two shots of Scheffler. Yet, patrons got another dose of why they call him "Steady Scottie," birdies on 10, 13 and 14, and 16 and eventually a comfortable shot win over Åberg.

Scheffler gets to put on the coveted green jacket for a second time and he might get to welcome his first child with his wife soon. This marks his fifth Masters Tournament. He won the 2022 tournament by three strokes over Rory McIlroy and, like fellow Texas Longhorn Jordan Spieth in 2015, turned a 36-hole, five-stroke lead into victory.

No one has won two Masters so quickly.  Scheffler only needed five years to make that happen on the 75th anniversary of the awarding of the green jacket.

Scheffler wins $3.6M as this year's champion.
