WRENS, Ga. - Police and fire crews are working to learn more about a fire that took over Pine Valley Apartments in Wrens Thursday night.

The Wrens Fire Department responded to the fire around 8:00 p.m. Fire Chief Keith Boulinea tells FOX54 the entirety of "Building F" was engulfed in flames when crews arrived on scene. 

FOX54 spoke with the neighbor of unit where officials believe the fire started. She says when she checked on her neighbor, he told her the fire broke out as he was cooking dinner.

As of 10:45 p.m., firefighters were still working to put out lingering embers. The roof of Building F was fully collapsed by Thursday night's fire.

Pine Valley Apartments is located at 101 Kings Mill road. The apartments have seen multiple fires over the past several years.
