In Columbia County, Evans Towne Center Park will host the county's "Boom in the Park" event Thursday.

Gates open at 5 p.m. Attendees will enjoy live music, food, and a brand-new laser show with fireworks.

During the event, there will be two road closures. The first one will close Antebellum Way. The road will be closed starting at 8 a.m. Thursday, July 4 and remain closed until midnight.

The second road closure is at Evans Towne Center Boulevard from Ronald Regan Drive to Evans Center Park parking lot exit gate. The roadway will close starting at 12 p.m. Thursday, July 4 and remain closed until midnight.

Organizers encourage attendees to bring their own lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the festivities.
